Breakfast every morning, dinner every evening, the three signature tours with park entry (your choice of two on three-night stays), daily housekeeping and transportation to and from your tours. Airport pickup and return at SJO are included. Meals are cooked in the house by Marisol, our in-house cook; breakfast is traditional Costa Rican and includes Costa Rican coffee, a fresh local juice and water. Dietary needs and restrictions are accommodated on request, and all food is sourced from local farmers and shops.

Casa Bosque Alegre has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and sleeps up to 10 guests, with a pool, a soccer court, a basketball hoop and air conditioning. The house has a fully equipped kitchen (stove, coffee maker, microwave and all kitchen utensils), a kamado-style ceramic grill, a gas grill, an outdoor pizza oven and private trails on the property.

Daily laundry service included: leave your laundry in the home's laundry room in the morning, and it's washed, dried, and folded by the time you're back from your day's tour.

Every stay of four nights or more includes three tours: the Laguna del Hule Crater Kayak & Discovery Hike, a Dinosaurs & Hot Springs day (Dino Land in Bajos del Toro and Termales del Bosque in Ciudad Quesada), and La Paz Waterfall Gardens in Vara Blanca. Transportation and park entry are included, and we schedule them around the weather.

December to April (dry season) usually brings the best trail conditions and clearest views. May to November is the green season: lusher, quieter and rainier, and trails such as Laguna del Hule can get very muddy (source).

Evenings at higher elevations can be cool. The signature tours are for ages 4 and up. Some add-on experiences set their own age limits: Class II–III rafting from about 8–9 years, Class III–IV rafting from 12.

Cancel 60 or more days before arrival for a full refund. Between 30 and 59 days, we refund 50% of the total. Within 30 days, payments are non-refundable unless we re-book your dates. You can change your dates once, free, if you ask at least 30 days before arrival (subject to availability, within 12 months). If weather or park conditions cancel a signature tour, we'll reschedule it during your stay or offer a similar experience. If an official closure or natural event prevents your trip, we'll move your dates or give you a credit valid for 12 months. We recommend travel insurance.
